Inspection of Disposable Aluminum Foil Lunch Boxes

1. **Appearance Inspection**
- **Surface Condition**: Visually examine the surface of the lunch box under sufficient light. Check for any holes, cracks, or tears. Even the tiniest hole can cause leakage during use. Look for dents or deformations that may affect the normal use of the lunch box, such as preventing the lid from fitting properly.
- **Color and Finish**: Ensure that the aluminum foil has a uniform silver - white color without any discoloration or spots. The surface should be smooth, free from rough areas or uneven textures that could indicate manufacturing defects.

2. **Size and Shape Inspection** - **Overall Dimensions**: Use a measuring tape or ruler to measure the length, width, and height of the lunch box. Compare the measured values with the specified dimensions in the production drawings or product standards. Tolerances should be within the allowed range, usually ±1mm.
- **Shape Consistency**: Check that the shape of the lunch box is consistent with the design. The corners should be evenly rounded, and the sides should be straight and perpendicular to the bottom. For lunch boxes with lids, ensure that the lid and the box body match in shape for a proper fit.

3. **Thickness Inspection**
- **Foil Thickness**: Use a thickness gauge to measure the thickness of the aluminum foil at several key points, such as the bottom, sides, and corners. The thickness should meet the requirements specified in the product standard. For example, the bottom may need to be at least [1]mm thick to ensure sufficient strength to hold food.

4. **Sealing Performance Inspection (for lidded lunch boxes)**
- **Manual Test**: Place the lid on the lunch box and press it firmly around the edges. Then, gently lift the lunch box by the lid. If the lid stays firmly attached and does not come off easily, it indicates a good initial seal.
- **Leakage Test**: Fill the lunch box with a certain amount of water (about 80% full), close the lid tightly, and then turn the lunch box upside - down. Observe for at least [X] minutes. If no water leaks out, the sealing performance meets the standard.

5. **Heat - Resistance and Durability Inspection**
- **Heat - Resistance Test**: Place the lunch box with a small amount of water (about 50ml) inside in an oven pre - heated to 100°C. Keep it in the oven for [X] minutes. After that, take out the lunch box and check for any signs of deformation, melting, or damage. The lunch box should maintain its original shape and structure without significant changes.
- **Durability Test**: Conduct a simple drop test. Drop the empty lunch box from a height of [3.5]cm onto a hard surface (such as a concrete floor) three times. Check for any cracks, holes, or serious deformations. The lunch box should still be usable after the test.

6. **Chemical Safety Inspection**
- **Heavy Metal Content Test**: Send samples to a professional laboratory to test for heavy metal content, such as lead, cadmium, and mercury. The content of these heavy metals should be within the limits specified by relevant food - contact material safety standards.
- **Migration Test**: Test the migration of substances from the aluminum foil to food - simulating liquids. Immerse the lunch box in food - simulating solutions (such as acetic acid solution for acidic foods) for a specified time at a certain temperature. Then, analyze the solutions to ensure that the amount of migrated substances does not exceed the permitted levels.

7. **Packaging Inspection**
- **Package Integrity**: Check that the outer packaging of the lunch box is intact, without any tears, openings, or damage. The packaging should protect the lunch box during transportation and storage.
- **Labeling**: Verify that the packaging is clearly labeled with necessary information, including product name, material composition, size, usage instructions, production date, batch number, and manufacturer's name and address.
